Fuel filter/water separators can be overwhelmed and lose function by high water content in fuel. Most filter bowls are equipped with a drain plug to remove accumulated water and restore function to the filter. To warn boaters of rising water levels, sensors can be installed to trigger an alarm before an issue develops. These dash mounted Racor gauges provide a visual and audible alert to problematic levels of water in the filters. The water sensing probe installs in the filter bowl through an available 1/2"-20 port and functions like a switch when it senses water, drawing current only when water is present. Compatible with 12V and 24 V systems. Requires 18AWG wire run from probe to gauge.
